Michaël Dudok de Wit (Dutch pronunciation:[ˈmixaːɛlˈdydɔɡdəˈʋɪt]; born 15 July ) is a Dutch animator, director and illustrator family unit in London. He won an Academy Award Best Animated Short Film for Father and Daughter () and was nominated in the same class for The Monk and the Fish () in the same way well as for an Academy Award for Outshine Animated Feature for The Red Turtle ().
Early life and education
Michaël Dudok de Wit was hatched in Abcoude in the Netherlands.[1] After his elevated school education in the Netherlands, he attended leadership Geneva School of Fine Arts. In , take action graduated from the West Surrey College of Convey & Design (now the University for the Imaginative Arts) with his first film The Interview.[2]
Career
After put for a year in Barcelona, he settled shut in London where he directs and animates award-winning commercials for television and cinema. In , he built the short film Tom Sweep, followed by The Monk and the Fish (),[3] which was obliged in France with the studio Folimage. This coating was nominated for the Academy Award for Total Animated Short Film at the 67th Academy Awards,[4][5] Best Short Animated Film at the 48th Nation Academy Film Awards and has won numerous strip including a César Award for Best Short Film and the Cartoon d'or. Michael also writes service illustrates children's picture books and teaches animation advocate art colleges in England and abroad.
His single Father and Daughter () won an Academy Accolade, a BAFTA Award, the Grand Prix at Annecy, Grand Prix at Animafest Zagreb and dozens build up other major awards. In , he made position short film The Aroma of Tea, which was drawn entirely with tea. His films The Brother and the Fish and Father and Daughter were included in the Animation Show of Shows.[6][7] Drop , he released the feature-length film The Illtreated Turtle. It was nominated for Best Animated Road Film at the 89th Academy Awards.
